Advocare: False Income Claims?

AdvoCare, False Income Claims? – I’m going to tell you, in my opinion, there are so many false income claims in Advocare it’s laughable.

In my opinion, I’m thinking it’s very common that distributors will take one of the rare 3 week pay periods and match it up with a 2 week pay period and claim that as a “months pay” when in reality it is five weeks!!

I’m thinking they are even stretching that, from what I have seen. I have never seen one of the top distributors ever factor in expenses so the number they are presenting to you is always the GROSS, not the net profit after expenses or deductions!!!. Think about that the next time you hear, or see one of their income claims.

The income claims from the top distributors are one of the most magnetic factors that draws people into Multi Level Marketing companies like AdvoCare. If someone told you they were making $60,000 / Year selling supplements you would probably say. “Wow! wish I could do that!!.”

If someone is telling you they make $60,000 / Month it really pulls you in. Right? But listen, you have to dig hard on these people, and you have to ask yourself. “Why would someone who is claiming to make $60,000 / Month still be renting a town house?” Wouldn’t it make better financial sense to just pay all cash for a house and not have rent or a mortgage?

So let’s dive into some income claims in Tucson, Arizona since there seems to be so much “success” there. If you watch this video, and you are a current distributor, you should ask yourself, “Why is AdvoCare promoting these people when they are only at the Silver Pin level?”

The second thing I’d think you should question, is the fact that they are saying they are making $2,000 – $3,000 a month.

Really guys???? At the Silver pin level? Guess what? I don’t believe you!!!!!

I’m not going to get into all the math with the bonus levels but it takes $100 in override to hit the Silver bonus level. People just clearing the Silver bonus mark would typically be getting a check from AdvoCare for $150 for the TWO weeks. Duplicate that and you will get another check for around that for the next pay period giving you a total of approximately $300 GROSS!!!!!!.

What if you decide to go to Success School? You are instantly in the RED!!! Even if you calculate a scenario where they are making $450 in override each pay period and they sign up a new Advisor each pay period it gets to $1,500 for the month.

I can tell you, in my opinion, this scenario is very unlikely because anyone, who gets that close to the $500 in override to get to the Gold bonus, will just go for it by getting down-line advisors to make orders in their accounts. Trust me on this one. Making $2,000 – $3,000 / month at the Silver Pin level is laughable!! I dare anyone in AdvoCare to prove it!

My suspicion is that AdvoCare picked this couple out and decided that they were going to be one of the “chosen ones.” They look the part and have that all American family vibe that AdvoCare likes to promote. Based on the lawsuit below, could it be AdvoCare appears to have given Jodi and Lance Scott the boot to propel Matt & Kelly Cernyar and Tyler DeBerry upward?

I initially found this lawsuit filed. Filed 10/15/14 in Tucson, AZ.

“LANCE SCOTT & JODI SCOTT vs. ADVOCARE INTERNATIONAL LP; MATT CERNYAR & KELLY CERNYAR; TYLER DEBERRY; ALLISON LEVY; RICHARD H WRIGHT; ET AL”

I couldn’t access the original complaint online so I had a friend go to the Superior Court of Pima County to access the court filings. In the original complaint the Scotts were claiming that they had 1000 distributors in their down-line. Matt and Kelly were directly above them and then Tyler DeBerry was above Matt and Kelly. It appears that Matt and Kelly are now Emerald 9 Star distributors.

Strategic terminations appear to be very common in AdvoCare and the rest of the MLM industry. Could it be that’s the way Danny McDaniel got so many star legs? Friends you have to be discerning when it comes to MLM and AdvoCare. They’re ruthless sneaky animals!

Moving on to Tyler DeBerry. In this video he claims to average $60,000 / Month. If you go to the 3:50 market you can hear him saying that.

If you go to his website it says he makes $35,000 / month. (Scroll to the Bottom of the description.)

Some people will say that it might be outdated but it appears that he recently updated the picture on that same page. In what appears to be the newest video of him he has dropped the whole income claim all together. AdvoCare appears to be trying to sweep these income claims under the rug. Pay attention to the last few seconds of the video where you’ll quickly see this statement flash by:

Personal testimonials reflect individual experiences of AdvoCare Independent Distributors and are not necessarily typical of the results you may obtain. Weight loss varies with individual effort, body composition, eating patterns and exercise. If you have a medical condition or are pregnant or nursing, AdvoCare recommend that you consult your healthcare professional before starting a AdvoCare product regimen. Earnings depend on a number of factors, including your individual effort and the area in which you live. The results described here are substantially in excess of the average results achieved by all Distributors during the same time period.

Tyler himself retracted everyone’s income claims from his website after he was asked for verification of his income claims.

Before he was asked to verify income claims from his site. This is Nick & Mary DeBaca claiming $11,000 / Month

After questions were asked! Income claim removed.

Now their micro-site is saying “We currently average about $8,000 a month.” The picture appears to be updated lately.

If you look at the incomes and compare them to what AdvoCare claims are the statistical averages for each pin levels things don’t add up!!!!

Emerald 9 Star is supposed to average over $24,745 / Month according to that income disclosure form and $8,000 / month is far below what is reported for people at the Emerald 9 Star level.

I honestly don’t believe AdvoCare’s income disclosure forms.

Anyone I have ever talked to, that seemed to be telling the truth, was getting compensated far less than the averages for their pin levels. I have seen this first hand. It seems like people really earn about half or less of what AdvoCare claims that pin level averages.

The only people, that I can tell, who make claims that seem to align with the income disclosure form, are those at the Diamond level and above. But look at the income disclosure form, they only account for .15% of the distributors that earned a check from AdvoCare in 2014. That’s only 232 people out of 154, 819. And you have to ask yourself this question, Could it be they attained this, in part, through the strategic elimination of lower level distributors?
