My upline was in the running to make their Emerald pin.

We had been working hard, hitting 3K every pay period, the upline was qualified for their pin, but didn’t look like it was we weren’t going to hit 3K that pay period even though we were recruiting like crazy.

The upline was frustrated because we were 3 or 4  levels deep so, they weren’t getting much in the way of override, yet they were helping us and our downlines on a daily basis.  Our sponsors and the person who sponsored them were only putting in the minimal $500 to get their overrides. So my upline completely guilted my sponsor into resigning their distributorship, and get this…they placed them back under me in a different family members name, so that they would be guaranteed to get their pin. To top it off, they asked us for the $350.00 commission that this created! We wrote them the check and walked away from Advocare that very day.

Completely unethical, selfish people! I NEVER imagined in a million years that they would be capable of this….I thought they were my friends and even considered them like family to this point. Yet, when you hear their story on how they pinned emerald, you won’t hear any of that information. They claim they made their way working part time but in reality, they had money in the bank, and quit their jobs working advocare 24/7.

They think they are so witty and cute posting their pictures on vacation of daddy “doing a 3 way call” on the beach while the kids play, with their hashtags #myoceanfrontoffice #timefeedom #advocarerocks #stayathomeparents  …….reality check, you are working on your vacation, you might be fooling your new recruits, but I KNOW the truth!

It’s been almost a year and they are stuck there, coming up with new gimmicks to get unsuspecting people to join thier sinking ship.

When you are close to the source, you will know that the stories being told are edited and untruthful.

In fact our “diamonds” disclosed to me that in all truth, they typically only pull a ruby income every month and that they are constantly seeking out new business because the legs that get you your pin…….will eventually fall off and the only way to stay on top is to replace them.

Lies and deception, that is what I left advocare with…..and I am in a better place now, then I ever was without it. I now have a job that I can be proud of making just as much money as my so called leaders and I don’t have to do a 3 way call when I am on vacation with my family.

I wanted to share this very important information with those thinking about joining AdvoCare, and those who have recently joined and are trying to figure out if they can actually make money from it. Unfortunately a system like AdvoCare is set up for the distributors to have a hard time figuring out what is going on. This is purposely set up like this because the system can’t support itself if everyone was able to earn commission from the company. They have to have an extreme amount of “distributors” who are only purchasing the product but not qualified to earn commissions to support paying a small handful of distributors $80K / month or more. Multi Level Marketing doesn’t work without the unbelievable income testimonials. If someone was making $70K / year off of it most people would say. “Good for you.” “I’m glad that worked out for you.” And they wouldn’t get drawn in. When someone says they make $80K / month people stop and say WOW!!!! and HOW??? Neurosurgeons sometimes don’t even make that much!!!!!

The top distributors don’t explain the compensation structure to people before they sign up. It is confusing for one and also if the person knew the amounts of volume they have to achieve each 2 week pay period to earn the “residual” income they most likely wouldn’t sign up. It would be easy for the top distributors to say. “You have to first have an Advisor or top level distributor under you and then in that given pay period there has to be volume in their account and you have to have at least $500 Retail Volume in your account to ever earn residual income.” Instead they typically focus on getting people excited and intermixing a religious message into their pitch to gain trust instead of sticking to the math and the facts behind the system. They know they have to get people excited to recruit enough people to get their own volumes. Once you are signed up, eventually you start to learn the truth and reality sets in.

One of the most shocking things you will figure out overtime is that most Silver, Gold, and Gold 3 Star distributors aren’t truly profitable despite the average compensation for Gold 3 Star is around $40K / year. It is typically a husband and wife so you can divide that compensation between two people with both doing the work. Some expenses are shared but the airlines aren’t going to let you sit on each others laps when you are going to all the training seminars. You will have to buy two plane tickets buy food for two and have lots of other expenses. Most at those pin levels are still trying to grow their downline and are in a “fake it until you make it stage” and are traveling around so much to try to get other people overly excited that they forget to actually be profitable. And then guess what? You have burnt through all your warm market so it is just going to get exponentially harder after that to find new people. On top of that your own downline and other crossline people are all stepping on each others feet in the same geographical region fighting over the same prospects.

When it really comes down to it, the math just doesn’t make sense. Let’s say you are from the state of Washington. With the taxes and shipping, every two weeks, you will either have to spend over $700 or convince someone else to spend that to get your volume numbers so you can earn the overide and bonus compensation. Even if you have a lot of people signed up under you there is still and issue of having to take on too much product to get your own volume. Let’s say you have to do orders yourself half the time to fill in your volume numbers. Over the course of a year that is $8,400 spent on product not including your Advisor order to get to the top 40% discount level. With shipping and tax to Washington that will cost you $2,475 if you don’t “recruit” your way there which most don’t. Sure you are going to use some yourself but just totaling that up you are at $10,875 not including all the gas driving around to events, travel to success school, and anything else you are buying like business cards and AdvoCare clothing and maybe a new suit to pretend like you are some kind of business person. Even if that first year you get the average compensation for Silver pin earners of around $12K which would be doing really good, you have lost money after expenses.

If you think that you are going to take that inventory that you had to order and turn around and make a profit selling it retail, guess again. It will most likely expire in your pantry no matter how hard you are pitching everyone how great AdvoCare is. If you keep climbing up the bonus levels it doesn’t get any better because you will be expected to keep going to more and more training which really isn’t training. It is more like a high school pep session on steroids, or maybe SPARK to be more accurate.

If you are still thinking about joining you should really ask the person who is trying to sign you up to explain exactly how much product volume you have to get each pay period to earn overide and bonus. When they either can’t tell you or get uncomfortable about telling you, just know that the picture they are trying to paint isn’t so much about living the dream as it is about trying to find the next person to buy a bunch of product to keep the thing going.

Are you going to be that next person?
