Many people report adverse health issues from using Advocare’s “Spark” drink.
Some of the symptoms associated with using “Spark” are:
Skin flushing
Dizziness
Rapid heartbeat
Itching
Nausea and vomiting
Abdominal pain
Diarrhea
When “Spark” customers complain to their Advocare Distributor about these symptoms, the complaints are often met with responses such as, “Excellent! That means that your body is getting rid of nasty chemicals and toxins built up in your body!”.
The RDA for Niacin is 2 mg. to 35 mg. depending your age group. Advocare’s “Spark” contains 60 mg. of Niacin, 300% of the RDA. The directions say to consume 1 – 3 servings per day. Three servings of “Spark” means that you’re consuming 180 mg. of Niacin per day.
What are the symptoms of Niacin overdose?
According to the Mayo Clinic, Niacin overdose symptoms include:
Severe skin flushing combined with dizziness
Rapid heartbeat
Itching
Nausea and vomiting
Abdominal pain
Diarrhea
Severe liver damage (hepatoxicity)
